Tuchman's Law is probably the best example of historical gaslighting. Things are and have always been worse than anything recorded.

I always use the Rothman and Winter Orchard Cherry. It's just a pure cherry brandy. The others all have added botanicals, which, while some others might like them, always invite the opportunity for taste clashes.

I've done one recently where I did the original recipe, but with a bit of lime juice added, and that was good, too.

Enjoy! Here's mine:

1.5 oz Scotch
1.25 oz Cherry Brandy
1.25 oz Orange Juice
0.25 oz Lime Juice
Shaken with ice
