Unfortunately, I couldn't record a timelapse video from before I made the first stroke. If I just started recording mid session, it would be incomplete. But it's honestly for the best for my commissioner's wallet cuz it would've cost extra for a timelapse.

English class was boring as all hell so I doodled in the whole time the teacher yapped. If your class is boring enough for me to make a full drawing in an hour while you lecture, something is wrong.

So I thank him for this wonderful opportunity. Ive learned a lot from this. I hope me doing this helped bring his vision to life.

A lot of elements of this piece was pure experimentation! I began to understand more about perspective, where to shade/highlight, making effects like Sonic drifting. I stepped into a little bit of machinery and it isn't hard, just a lot to keep up with.

It took a lot of layers, even for the sparkles. Making the rainbow road was tricky though because it was entirely made by hand. I didn't want to precisely recreate the checkerboard, so I made it blended like the older games. I still had to be precise with each color's positioning
