To Hastings to co-lead a workshop involving journaling, photography and walking. The sun shone, we had thought provoking conversations, participants enjoyed it and it was great to be working alongside my old colleague Nicky Torode.

What frustrates me in both the US and UK is the way MSM commentators treat political “leaders” now in the way they were treated historically. These are not normal times and the protagonists need to be treated as who they are - authoritarians, racists, liars and grifters. Call them out!

I love this. I fantasise sometimes about having had the knowledge, presence of mind and temerity to stand up to my teachers in that way.

And rightly so, IMHO.

There’s a real “National Socialism” vibe to Garage’s latest statement about being for working class people - scrapping the 2 child limit etc.

We live in hope.

This reminds me of a favourite film, Etre et Avoir, about a village school teacher on the verge of retirement. Very moving. Also, the image of children walking to school through the village in the winter relates. For most of us, the journey to school is formative, wherever we live in the world. 🙂
