Our first big day of action is underway! Thanks to our great volunteers for giving their time on this beautiful October Saturday canvassing for the campaign. Talking to voters directly is critical to victory! #oklahoma

Today, Karl and I had so much fun at the 30th annual Mesta Festa in the heart of OKC. The weather was great and the company was excellent. One of the best parts of the campaign is spending time meeting people who care so much about the future of their community, their district and their nation!

The team and I had so much fun walking in Tecumseh’s Frontier Day Parade this morning. CD-5 has such a great mix of big cities, small communities and rural towns. It’s important to remember the past and celebrate our progress, together.

Ryan Walters never cared about education. He never cared about the kids. He never cared about the teachers. Everything I said that he would do, he did. He has hurt Oklahoma in a profound way.

So to my old “friend” Ryan: don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

I am not afraid to meet with the people in the 5th district. Oklahomans deserve better.

Those seeking to represent the people should be able to engage in civil discourse on tough topics, but many elected officials choose to cower. After the event, the good folks from the Lincoln County Democratic Party invited me to join their picnic! I’m so grateful!

#TeamNelson showed up for this morning’s Oklahoma Labor Day Parade! Preserving the dignity of working families is something worth marching for.

These workers decided that a life of endless drudgery and suffering wasn’t the American Dream - and they took a stand. Plus, their work laid the foundation for Social Security, Medicaid and many other programs that benefit working families. I’ll fight to ensure their legacy.
