I think something to consider is that if you've thought of a specific idea(a particular test), odds are hundreds of people also have and then at least 10s of people have given it feedback.

Don't think one can underestimate the problem of having killed so many young Iranians in the past couple of months is going to lead to some very easily turned security personnel.

I have had 4 visits this morning from a cat politely asking for pets as if to remind me he exists and I am sure none of those requests were for food as I have fed him every day this week.

If only you had fed them any other day this week, I'm sure they would not require that.

Trump's specific statement:
"Even so, and I do not make this statement lightly, the Iranian regime seeks to kill. The lives of courageous American heroes may be lost, and we may have casualties. That often happens in war." and he should not have said war, he should have said military engagements.

So while the attacks might be of roughly similar nature, Trump's argument that this isn't an illegal war is that when he said war, we weren't supposed to take him seriously, that he was engaging in some hyperbole.
