We were delighted when professional gardener Suzie Nicholson joined Barry, our Volunteer Coordinator, to cast her expert eye over the communal garden at Crossways.
Suzie had lots of inspiring ideas on how we can involve residents in turning the garden into a lovely space to relax.

The Haven: a safe space for homeless women in Cambridge - The Evelyn Trust
Thanks to funding from the Evelyn Trust, charity It Takes A City has set up The Haven: a safe space for women in Cambridge experiencing homelessness.
Funding from the Evelyn Trust was instrumental in helping us make The Haven, our safe space for vulnerable women in Cambridge city centre, a reality.
On The Haven’s first anniversary, this article shows how ‘You have to sow a seed to grow something bigger’.

Yesterday, the H&S team from Bidwells volunteered to give The Haven a refresh.
Elisabeth Silver, our CEO, popped in to see the results last night.
We echo her thanks from all at ITAC and the women who will continue to use this vital safe, overnight space in the city centre.
(Loving the lilac!)

This #VolunteersWeek, we wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to every one of them.
