Before becoming Topiltzin, Quetzalcoatl looked alot like his brother Tezcatlipoca. After his life as Topiltzin, Quetz refused to go back to his original appearance.

According to him, the way he looks now is a better reflection of his own heart. 💚 #oc

Partial detail photo (taken by me at the "Imagined Realism" exhibit) of "Distant view of Tlatelolco" painting by Scott and Stuart Gentling/Rights managed by the Amon Carter Museum The painting depicts a wide vista view of the Aztec capital of Tenochtitlan as seen looking North from the summit of the city's Great Temple, with the central precinct of Tlatelolco (technically a separate city Tenochtitlan physically absorbed as a de facto fifth city quarter) visible in the distance, which is what is seen in the frame of my photo here in the background. Inexact cropping, downscaling, and color correction applied to the photo... while I am normally fine with people reusing my photos, this specific photo depicts art still in Copyright, so refer to the Amon Carter museum for rights or use/repost at your own risk.
