- Blue/Black Faeries (prob the most annoying deck of its time)
- 5 Color Control

spells are also just better and cheaper than they were in khans
the first time around, the game had seige rhino and standard design was specifically around creature combat

pretty sure that specific timeline diverged in october 2020

i keep finding cool cards from the final fantasy set
i love the flavor of this one. it really captures wakka's three core personality traits
- blitzball (reach)
- helping his friends (+1/+1 counters)
- being racist against the people who like machines (destroy artifact)

it was one of many tcgs put out by wotc in the boom of the late 90s/early 2000s, trying to capitalize on the fact that Pokemon, and YuGiOh had put tcgs on the radar for parents. WotC especially had so many licenses at that time.
