The change over from Square to Odoo has also meant a discontinuity in our gift voucher system. Gift vouchers issued through square (before early 2023) will still be honoured if presented at the shop or Hillswick, and only fairly recently issued gift vouchers will work on the web site. 3/

We now have the web shop populated with the plants that are in stock in Lerwick at @dapottingshed.shetland.social of course we have much more stock available in Hillswick, but not everything in Hillswick is ready for sale. 2/

During last winter (2022-2023) we moved all our backend systems from Square to Odoo. This came with a huge learning curve so we concentrated on the on site sales. This winter we have been working on the web side of things. 1/

Our range of summer bulbs are flying off the shelves just now, we have Begonias, Dahlias, Gladioli, Lillie's, and Crocosmia, all in pick and mix boxes.

Carol and I spent the weekend tidying up the yard and making sure everything is properly labelled for 2025. There's lots of trees available that could be planted now, along with some lovely primroses & a small section of Roses that are just starting their new season growth. Open Wed - Sat, 10-5

We donated a couple of trees to the Anderson High School #AHS in #Lerwick for the ASN students to decorate.

We've been trying our hand at making up a few wreaths from the blue spruce foliage we have available in the yard. These three and another like it will be a available in the shop tomorrow evening.

We're open again at Fort road with Fresh cut Christmas trees & foliage. The shop is also open with some great Christmas house plants and gift ideas.

It's serious work making reindeer food.

It's late night opening tomorrow at Da Potting Shed. We'll be open till 9 and will have hot mulled apple juice for any chilly customers.
