Why was there an American Revolution? The British put a tax on tea. One thing I miss about teaching is all the connections you make in American and World History. I'm just thinking about how important civics are. American and World History & world geography are in education.

Agree, more World History too. I taught AP World History for years and kept teaching how history repeats itself, the importance of NATO, etc. It's amazing how little history our students receive.

I think most are appalled, shocked & horrified that some Americans were so ignorant they blindly followed a lunatic.
