i’m pretty sure his original script had Rey going to the dark side, Finn being the stormtrooper turned Jedi, and Kylo was never supposed to be redeemed. The redemption arc was meant for Rey. It would’ve been GOLD. I hate Disney for messing it up, because I know they were involved 😭

look, I don’t think it was entirely JJ’s fault. force awakens was a great entry to the story. Rian Johnson had different ideas and JJ had to clean up the act with the third movie which was awful. but, JJ’s original script for the trilogy was GREAT. sad it could never happened.
