The dx process is fine as it is, we just need to stop treating people like dirt.

I am deeply dubious that a blood test for ME will be effective in anything other than labelling an already marginalised group of patients as malingerers.

Mental health conditions and ME have much in common in so far as they are diagnosed by differentiation as opposed to a direct 'test'. So before my dx, i was tested to see if there was a deficiency in my blood, if i was infected with something etc.

So my disability is visible on an MRI. That has not prevented my experiences of medical gaslighting when people get confused between MS & ME. I was misdiagnosed with ME before my MS dx which also doesnt help. ME is incredibly debilitating too and takes a long dx process.

How many people are allowed their diagnosis then?
