We need academics & communicators to shed light on the health & human rights scandal of #SevereME. And to sound the alarm about #LongCovid. My illness has been progressive & I worry about teens now unable to dance like before but still able to study, embarking on a slow story of exponential loss…

The usury interest rate on #pwME energy usage is the problem. Budgeting (pacing) helps but it’s not a cure, it’s a coping strategy. We need medical treatments that remove whatever is siphoning off our energy, not gaslighting or denial of this energy theft. #GreatestMEdicalScandal

Also- and to speak to one point in the early chapters, my communication issue with my doctors is not that I speak metaphorically of my body, but that I know more about MCAS POTS & ME research than them. I studied humanities & lit. & don’t need more narrative theories of my illness. I need science.
