Landscape structure as a driver of eco-evolution in host–parasite systems
Abstract. Spatial network structure of biological systems drives ecology and evolution by distributing organisms and their genes. The ubiquitous host–paras
Glad that the first thing that I share on here is our (@efronhofer.bsky.social , Vasilis Dakos and Oliver Kaltz) work from my PhD thesis at @isemevol.bsky.social on host parasite eco-evolution in spatial networks out now in Evolution Letters @evolletters.bsky.social !

That's one of the things that I look at in the vulturine guinfowl--where do they sleep? They roost communally on top of thorny trees and apparently their site selection is simply based on the space available to accommodate large groups. I also look into quantifying their sleep using accelerometers.

I'll (re)post opportunities and research, and more importantly, highlight hurdles faced by global south researchers-including myself. Outside academia, I'm either bouldering or in a water body;) (2/2)

Heya people over here at 🦋! I'm an evolutionary biologist with a background in behaviour and a keen interest in macroevolution and phylogenetics. I just graduated from the MEME (Erasmus Mundus Masters in Evolutionary Biology) programme and currently wrapping up my grad school apps. (1/2) #evosky
