He’s so mesmerized by it he doesn’t hear the chorus of groans coming from the back of the subway as money is passed between his friends.

They lost.

But he won.

Jm smiles and looks down at his feet, then he grabs his phone and hands it over to jk. “Then I guess I better get myself a Jœngguk.”

The man smiles wide and jm finds it beautiful.

“Actually I saw you when I first entered the subway and you are very beautiful.”

Jm takes the rest of his mask off. “I’m not very good at being Spider-Man if I’ve already been found out.”

“You don’t need to be. Just keep being good at being Jîmîn.”

He lowers himself off the ceiling and stands in front of jk now. “And no. Not yet anyways.”

“Well, lucky for you, that happens to be my name.”

“How convenient.”

Jk smiles at him. “I love Spider-Man, but can I get Jîmîn’s number?”

“Already? You haven’t even seen my face.”

The message is clear and jm sputters, however, he remembers he still has his mask of anonymity. “I don’t.”

“Mmm how about a Jœngguk to your…?”
Jm smiles and bites his lip in bashfulness before answering, “Jîmîn.”

When the stranger pulls back, he says, “No one has pretended to be Spider-Man to get my attention before. Let me ask you, do you have a Mary Jane to your Spider-Man?” He smirks and jm nearly falls off the ceiling.

He scoots across his seat, getting impossibly closer, pulls the bottom of jm’s mask down over his lips and then kisses him. He’s in shock but his lips naturally move along with the guy’s.

Seeing the man smile and laugh urges him to keep going with his skit, and with a distorted voice he goes to ask for the man’s number. However, the man has other plans before he says a word.

He puts on the Spider-Man mask, which makes him feel invincible, and strides up to the man. The guy looks awestruck and jm decides to play the part by swinging himself onto the ceiling of the subway by the handles.

His friends see him eyeing the guy and make a bet on if jm can snag a number from him—most of them bet against Jm, saying he’s too shy to even speak to a stranger. Jm, upset at their assumptions, decides to prove them wrong.
