Eir closes gender pay gap to 1.6% with more women appointed to senior roles
Latest data shows women account for 42 per cent of senior leadership roles at the company.
Eir has revealed its gender pay gap has narrowed to a new low of 1.59% as the Irish telecoms provider aims to eliminate the gap by 2030.
The company attributed the narrowing pay gap to efforts made by the company to hire more women in senior roles and those that โattract higher overall rewardโ.

Walking on sunshine: Pinergy turns a profit amid rising demand for solar business
Chief executive Enda Gunnell told the Business Post the incoming government should increase investment in the grid
Irish energy provider Pinergy (@pinergy.bsky.social) turned a profit of โฌ13.3 million last year from a loss of more than โฌ3 million in 2022 on the back of a 38 per cent jump in revenues.

The Mediahuis Ireland directors said it continues to focus on being a โlow-cost publisherโ and said it performed well despite a very competitive market and difficult economic climate
Mediahuis Ireland, the publisher of the Irish Independent, saw its revenue decline by nearly 25 per cent in 2023 according to newly filed accounts.
Directors at the firm led by CEO Peter Vandermeersch noted its risks included โsignificant fall off in demandโ for the newspapers it produces.
