I think people seem to not realize that Pokemon are MONSTERS, not straight up animals.

Despite being a HUGE fan of bats, I am not a very big fan of Rouge the Bat.

Just because something is not by the same dev team doesn’t mean they immediately arent canon. And my point is, Pokemon in lore aren’t all that different than people, doesn’t matter how many legs they walk on.
