I don't think "content creator" is even a good term for anyone to be aiming for in the first place, as it fundamentally strips the artistic integrity out of acts of creation and reduces all mediums of expression to "content". Functionally "slop".

I don't think people should try to be slop factories

Out of curiosity for what it'll do to my feed, I'm gonna yeet everyone I'm following who vibes like they're trying to be content creators instead of authentic individuals

I mean self-serving isn't inauthentic to me? I guess my frustration is that it's hard to tell when someone's just posting a picture of themself that they like and when someone's just posting a picture of themself to get clout? ... in part cuz most people couldn't give you a clear answer themselves

I have vivid flashbacks to the time I cuddled someone who IS a content creator, and it was so... uncomfortable. It was a nice evening chatting with someone I wanted to get to know better, and then he put on his suit and stopped being himself. He did a customer service voice and everything

Maybe social media ruined photos for me? I love the idea of doing fun photoshoots and whatnot with/for friends, but the knowledge that it's indistinguishable from "content" urks me

I'm starting to really fucking hate that we have this implicit assumption that everyone ought to be a content creator

I don't think there's any real way for me to tell if a fursuit photo is coming from a place of "I had fun with my friends" or "I got this photo with popufurs to get popular myself".

I also recognize that most people do a bit of both, because they just want a good time, but they also want attention

I keep having this experience where I see a fursuit photo and my gut reaction is something along the lines of "is this authentic or is this some clout chasing bullshit?"

I think that's a good gut reaction to have, but god damn does it make this site unbareable at times.

I have a crazy idea for a con panel

It definitely needs work and a crew who'd be dedicated to making it happen...

But if i could put that crew together... 👀👀👀

Don't get me wrong, parties are fun, and it's important to get out of your comfort zone to meet new people

But if given the choice between a space chock-full of short, vapid interactions or a good, long chat with someone, I'll take the latter

And i hope i always will

Tonight i had a choice between a fetish night at a club or a night with a new friend

I chose to be with the new friend, and it was the right choice

As much as i want to be the kind of person who goes to parties and clubs, i will always prefer to have casual time with one or two friends
