02.01.2025 21:42 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Today community member "Lestoli" announced his digital simulator for Project K on my YouTube channel.
The simulator is planned to release in January.
Supports 4 player games, 1v1, ranked match making, custom deck building and more :)
Video example linked below.
First look at alternate arts in Project K, the League of Legends Trading Card Game.
09.12.2024 04:16 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Anyway, in summary the game looks like the love child of MTG Commander, MARVEL SNAP, with a little bit of LoR DNA in there.
Which to be frank, is the perfect game for me.
Here is a video I made about the game; youtu.be/KCKp94BifXk?...
Unlike with my past Tabletop Simulator projects, I'll make this one public for all to use (Unless papa Riot asks me not to.)
If anyone gets access to scans, translations, anything of the sort that would be useful for that project let me know :)
Executive Productor, Chengran Chaiand Game Director, Dave Guskin mention a few key things I'll add here.
"Sweaty try hards like us will enjoy the game."
"Built from the ground up with multiplayer(1v1,2v2,4 player free for all) in mind."
"The best social trading card game."
The game will be releasing in select regions gradually as they set up what they need in each region to support organized play for your region.
Sadly that means I'll probably be one of the last regions, but I'll be playing on tabletop simulator ASAP.
Admin:
Set one's "set code" is FND maybe it will be called "foundation" which would be funny timing considering the current MTG set's name ๐
It has 298 cards (This includes Battlefields.)
Cards have rarity gems that are very visually clear which is nice imo.
These "grey" cards are likely tokens. The player using these is using Victor who's effect generates Tokens.
06.12.2024 11:02 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The players have a second card set aside with their Legends and as you can see in this case it's Jinx's purple Champion card.
(Guessing)
I believe what we are seeing here is a system similar to MTG's commander format. But you "commander" must share a name with you legend.
This is just a "vibe" but I think the color symbols on cards aren't saying "pay this as an additional cost." I think the "required costs" are saying "When paying X mana for this card, you need Y amount of it needs to be this color."
06.12.2024 11:02 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Some cards have "tribes". We don't know if these are called types, tribes, regions, whatever. But we've seen a few;
Piltover
Zaun
Shadow Isles
I'm having trouble making out the two words in the right image.
We've seen 6 Color identities so far.
Red
Orange
Green (Calm)
Purple (Chaos)
Blue
Yellow
For what its worth, Green seems like a control, purple and red seem aggro, and orange has access to ramp.
As an extension of what I was just saying, we can see before the game has started, this player has 3 piles.
Blue Cards
White Cards
and Black Cards.
Blue Cards are the players "deck."
White Cards are the players "mana."
and Black Cards are the player's "Battlefields."
"Battlefields"
Battlefields are what you fight for, these are the game's "objective" and likely the win condition.
They have unique effects and as this is a TCG rather than a one-purchase product, I assume you bring set Battlefields to the table. Like an extension of your deck.
"Spells"
You know spells as "instants, actions, or spells" depending on the card game you come from. You play them, resolve their effect and they go to your discard/graveyard.
Siphon Power is interesting in particular because it confirm playing cards on opponent's turns.
"Legends" are set aside at the beginning of the game. They are your "leaders" while nothing specifically confirms this, I believe your LEGEND will dictate the colors you are allowed to include in your deck.
06.12.2024 11:02 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0"Units" and "Champions" are similar.
They are played onto the board (Your "base") and then move to battlefields to conquer them.
What's the difference between a Champion and a Unit, well there is only one I can deduce which I'll talk about later.
First lets cover card types. We have A LOT to cover.
Units
Legends
Champions
Spells
Battlefields
Project K - The League of Legends Trading Card game is the first physical TCG I'll be playing seriously.
Here is everything we know right now.
If you like Commander (MTG) or MARVEL SNAP, you'll probably like Project K.
That's my goat you're yapping about.
