As machine translation tools under the banner of AI become increasingly accessible and easy to use, the light novel landscape is at a crossroads. Do light novel publishers compromise their product for more speed, and if so, by how much?

I'm pretty sure its all automated with the code, if you've ever opened a MaL page for an anime, you'll notice a few things in the info box, "genre" and "themes," the people who run the site primarily manage the code to make sure it works and its drawing from the database, its not their opinion

No I mean because I didn't get it

The site works and is very minimalist in just giving its prime functionality so I'll forgive it for grammar crimes

I've lightly talked about it, but, since it's manga is very much coming to a close, and as someone who has been following almost since its inception, I couldn't help but think about it following that news, but, particularly the anime, so here are some thoughts on Shy (my goat)

I'm also not someone who thinks they make great thumbs or anything, but I just really like how Shy pops here. There were many considerations of which Shy doing a cool pose to choose, but, I just really like this one with the flame in her eyes.

You can tell how unfamiliar I am with the wordle format because I had huge trouble trying to figure it out and in some instances straight up forgot the previous parameter clues, and so I just went with the picture clue they gave, pretty hard tho because the info is from MaL

Aced the first one even tho I hadn't seen Magus Bride in a while and I don't even remember who that person is in the first pic, but I had an immediate guess so went for it. The 2nd one I haven't actually watched Jahy but I do know of it so we got there, we don't talk about the last one

Wanted to see if there were any anime-wordle equivalents, and there actually is a lot, but found one that I think I like enough that I might keep up with: aniguessr.com it has four different modes in its daily rotation and has been going on for a while, fun

People have trouble reading visual novels because of pre-conceived notions, making it an extremely hard type of game for people, in the same way Dark Souls also has hard gameplay, and you can technically save scum visual novels to avoid bad ends in the same way you revive and get up in a Souls game

They're basically the same thing

In order of what they roughly represent we got: Tactics/Gridbased RPG, JRPG, MMO, Souls(likes, arpgs), VN, Narrative-FPS, Roguelike/Roguelite/deckbuilders, anything by Supergiant Games, rhythm, Indie games I guess

There was that trend of people taking a selfie with 10 game covers, with the caption "10 games to get to know me" which I thought was fun so minus a selfie, I wanted to see if I could, by memory, without looking at my library, see if I could get 10 games that I think is a decent rep of me

Just like anything, half of the community is really good, the other half is an embarrassment to humanity itself.

In some sense, though one could argue, they did the same for Final Fantasy, with in game renders which I think are also really bad and uninspired if not a bit less bad than simply taking a screen cap, but it's basically up there with the same energy of "oh yeah just take this thing and repurpose it"

Yeah it's basically a port of all the super old Yugioh games, which is actually pretty cool

I think the new steam family sharing options are great, and it's also hilarious how sometimes I'll just open up steam and one of my friends has bought a game and it just pops up like its Christmas all year round. Out of the top page here of my library I've only bought Kill The Music

A lot of the assets for the game (sprites/ CGs, etc) have actually already been ripped, thank you Reddit, so as long as you don't mind providing a bunch of context yourself, I can fake it pretty well! (No one has to know I haven't played it, shhhhhh)
