Man LA has so many good Japanese players! Do you think it helps though that theyβre on the west coast (closer to home)? I mean probably money and winning speaks louder than location but I think it probably might be a littler factor.

We actually went to LA in Sept for a little vacation and while we were there the Giants happened to be in town so we bought tickets and Yamamoto happened to be the starting pitcher. Tbh I didnβt even know who he was! But we have not been following baseball as much lately

@srgower.com Iβm sorry man. I was rooting for ya. Kirk hacked at that first pitch and I didnβt have a good feeling about it.

Dude those are awesome! I especially love that seductive ladybot on the Robots of Dawn π I sort of remember the plot point. I never read that 4th one though: Robots and Empire.

@glass.photo whatβs the deal with having to back out of a photo to see the next in a feed? Iβm guessing this was a conscious decision. Genuinely curious why I canβt just swipe right or left to see the next full screen photo. Absolutely love the app btw!

Look man, this ainβt no Veritas saw I have. Just some brand Iβve never heard of on Amazon. For all I know the company that made it just copied some other brandβs saw or maybe just made the saw based on a picture of a flush cut saw. Anyway, I tried bending the teeth. Didnβt work. Tape will have to do

I want to believe you are right about this. But this particular one I have is not like that. I donβt think my other one (which lives permanently behind the counter in my shop where I canβt reach) was like that either. I think it had zero set and sucked at cutting but at least didnβt scratch

Jogged the Big Sur Shakeout 5k this morning. This is the free 5k before the real marathon tomorrow. I guess they use it to shake their legs out. I will be doing it again next year. It was fun! πββοΈ #jogging #BigSur

I used a drill press for the pilot holes on the braces then extended them into the walnut with a hand drill. The countersinks were impossible to drill at much of an angle

Only like 1/16th. It worked perfectly. The very slightly tapered end of the dowel allows it to wedge in. The dowels are poplar, so Iβll bet they deformed a bit but theyβre locked in good. Plus thereβs glue.

Ah gotcha. I definitely plan on using dowels in mortises in the future again. I love the look, they feel good hammering in, and like I mentioned they also provide some function π

I thought about trying to hammer them flat. I just figured it wouldnβt be that malleable. Iβll give it a try

I think your other question is asking about the diagonal pieces? It just makes it more rigid. But maybe thatβs not needed once you put the table top on. Idk but it looks good having those light accent pieces π

I used glue but before glue was invented I guess this method was enough.

Legs are not removable. They are dowels - not hiding any screws. They are called drawbore mortise and tenons: the holes on the mortise are slightly offset with the holes on the tenon and the dowels are tapered on the end you canβt see. The idea is that when you hammer them in it make a tight fit

Idk man I donβt really see woodworking equipment. I donβt know what the long table is for. It has raise edges. And weird handle doohickies π€·ββοΈ

Not impressed with this flush cut saw at all. The teeth are not flush. Had to raise the surface by sticking tape on it. And while the teeth are sharp, it makes a pretty ragged cut. Makes me want to keep trying to fish out the better (and cheaper) one I lost behind the counter last year #woodworking
