I was let loose in an antique store, found a “crazy quilt.” Loaded the bathtub with Retro Clean, watched the water turn maroon, gathered the whole drippy affair into a sacrificial bed sheet, sprinted it out back to dry, and now have a quilt that smells less like moth balls than it did an hour ago!

Certainly, I’m not going to whine about a manageable workload, but I admit that the slim paperbacks I’ve thus far been assigned in my grad school career just don’t fit the trope I’ve had in my head.
This one does! A 700-pager with no dust jacket and that super lived-in look.

I fell in love with this I-Can’t-Believe-It’s-Not-Syroco wall clock on eBay but am now underwhelmed. 😅
