Fergus and his backers were fantastic for Celtic in our hour of need. However, to the people he dealt with direct, his methods were not to everyone's liking (staff, players, fans and press) and if he were in charge today I think Celtic fan based social media would explode with frustration and rage.

The stats may not lie and do indeed point to one team controlling the game but to me, it's another example of how stats belie the truth of what your own eyes tell you, especially as a fan with knowledge of your own particular team - Celtic were rank rotten that day from kick off to last penalty.

Honourable shout out to @raecomm.bsky.social who is definitely an exception to this rule.
I remember him being unfairly slated for a pronunciation of a player's name (Shaughnessy of St. Johnstone) and he explained his source was the player himself, as he'd asked him how he pronounced it.
