I've had worse starts to a Monday. 💚
We miss too many chances to hammer anybody, I'm afraid.
Never seen such an inept, goal-shy Celtic team in ma puff.
I really hope this title race doesn't come down to goal difference, like 1986, coz we're well off it.
#Celtic - Today was our season in microcosm.
2 halves of football and we looked like 2 completely different teams.
It happened under BR, under the much maligned Nancy and under MON.
It's fkn infuriating!
Bring it for the 90+ and we just might have a Double to celebrate in May.
#Celtic - Mon the Hoops! 💚
Hoping we somehow find some shooting boots today. It's our biggest downfall. HH!
Aye, my heart sinks when I remember the incompetent lot who appointed Nancy are the ones looking for the new manager.

He's certainly got Motherwell playing great football.
Interesting to hear ex players (Petrov + Mjalby) on Thursday night saying that he may not be mentally tough enough for a club the size of Celtic, with our "must win" demands.
Or Michael Nicholson + Dermot Desmond.

As I replied to Angela, I'd ask the question of Craig Bellamy but in realistic, and typical Celtic fashion these days, it'll probably be a safe, in-house, Maloney + Fozzy combo.
Who might just be good for us too, I don't honestly know.
I was only messing, Angela.
In my book, if you turn down Celtic, you shouldn't ever get another chance.
One of the reasons I could never really get on the Brendan Bus 2nd time around.
FWIW - I still say we should approach Craig Bellamy. There's a fire in him and I think it'd be good for us both.
#Celtic - New manager for next season....
I think Eddie Howe will be available very soon.
Anyone? 😁
I'd like to see us break the mould a wee bit and go 4-5-1.
We've struggled too often, in the past 2 years or so, in midfield against them.
Sinisalo, Scales+Arthur.
KT+Sarrachi on left, Araujo+Yang on right. CalMac, Bernardo+McCowan in centre.
Tam up front.
I know there are mitigating circumstances regarding Ox (just arrived, not played competitively for a while) but I thought he was fairly anonymous against Hibs and I'm concerned he would be ineffective on Sunday too.
Would love to be proved wrong.
On the basis of his form over the last year or so, I wouldn't have Hatate in the squad, far less on the pitch.
Considering his early form when he first signed, he's now an empty jersey.
Frustrating as hell, given we know what he used to be capable of.
I'm worried the effects of extra time and penalties tonight will have on the players for Sunday's game.

(Said without any real conviction, I'm afraid 😟)
I haven't given up but I wish I shared your confidence in this group of players.

We'll end up with a Maloney + Fotheringham combo I think, at best. Typical board thinking. Lazy.
The guy who scouted Nancy and called him the clear cut choice from day one is in charge of finding MON's permanent replacement.
Gives me the fkn fear so he does.
#Celtic - Fans demanding a full rebuild of the squad. I can't disagree, there's very few I'd keep, tbh.
But who's gonna take the dross we have off our hands?
Mibees some coach could get a tune out of them, like Askou has with our 5th choice centre back, Welsh.
Best defence in the league too!
#Celtic - Not our day.
Still, we have the hardest working CEO in football, who comes in on Christmas Day and bleeds green for his circa 900k salary.
So there is that to keep me warm I suppose.
That sitter from Cvancara is indicative of the poor striker quality we have at the club.
Around 4 yards from goal, keeper down, both sides of the goal to choose from, fluffs it wide.
As much as a well run club (ahem!) would at least be running the rule over him, he will also be able to assess us at closer range than most other foreign coaches who've never set foot in Scotland.
Hopefully MON & Maloney being asked their professional opinion too.
Can he triumph v 2 banks of 5? 🫤
It's a head scratcher, excluding perhaps the elite of Europe, why none of the mid-tier clubs, who have all changed Managers/Coaches in the last few years, haven't managed to persuade this guy to come in and try to replicate what he's done at such a small club (fanbase wise). Outstanding, really.

Replies with "Albert Tatlock!"
Probably have to be a certain age (i.e. near decrepit) to get that.
Anyone???

There's a group of ITK, board apologists, who'll tell you McKay was fired coz he was out of his depth, gave out insane contracts to players we couldn't afford.
No public evidence to support this just a "take it from me, I know but you don't" tone.
I wish he'd stayed. A breath of fresh air.
An Accountant as CEO.
For football clubs, it's a recipe for mediocrity.
They're just not trained, not hard wired, to take risks.
For all our transfer model successes, we signed an incredible amount of loanees and absolute fkn dugmeat, because the price was within a non-negotiable budget.
Legend, yes, though needs to be remembered exactly who gave MON the job (3 times).
He's not shy at giving his opinions but on Celtic matters, it usually aligns with his fellow countryman.
DD only listens, and takes action, when the Bottom Line is affected.
Adidas, Dafabet etc watching closely.
When MON went public about Reo's "struggles," something he rarely ever does, I hoped it would mean he'd be dropped.
Bernardo looked full of promise at one point but has almost disappeared in the last year or so. Hoping he can sort out whatever's holding him back and he kicks on. Starting tonight.
It's also infuriating the number of chances he misses too. However, can't really grumble, we'd be mid table without his goals.
Interesting take on playing him as a striker. Couldn't be any worse than what we have tbh.
