A few weeks ago, we hosted the Ethnic Studies Symposium and Summit through a collaboration between the MN Ethnic Studies Coalition and UMN RIDGS Center. Educators came together to learn & network with e/o to provide Ss with liberatory learning experiences in schools. Blessed to know these people!

The Oro de Copa brought us together to a stadium to watch a soccer game, but what unites us is our deep commitment to freedom for all. The National bird, a Quetzal is a symbol of freedom, and as a People, we believe in liberation and justice for all. #SiSePuede means more than you know. Pa’Delante!

We are fueled by dreams and reach our goals to make things better around us. As a Minnesota Teacher of the Year, I am proud to represent the education field, the community that’s open their arms to me, and my country of origin. #ImmigrantsAreNotTheProblem

I am a #ProudImmigrant and #CommunityMember striving to make a difference every day.

I come from a small but might country that’s suffered colonization and imperialistic domination. And even with that, my people are deeply loyal, hardworking, and resilient beyond measure.
