Quite some time ago I started a color converted version of Soda Stitch Rococo Ladies, to make them resemble characters from Hamilton. I picked it up today for no particular reason!

I do my FFOs as soon as I can because I dread having a doom pile. Now my problem is a pile of framed pieces not yet on the wall...

Crafting, crafting, crafting! So sweet that someone offered you cross stitch kits, that'll be perfect to get started. You can look up "creative reuse centers" near you for inexpensive secondhand supplies for a wide range of hobbies.

Working on this older Chatelaine Designs project, Bluebell Lace Mandala. Black Jobelan is tough to see! Uses DMC as well as specialty flosses and beads.

I'm working on a Mill Hill kit for an ice cream sundae design. Will have beads in a lot of the unstitched areas and ultimately be cut out, backed with felt, and turned into a magnet. The gold frame is magnetic and makes it easier to hold and stitch on perforated paper! #crossstitch

A cross stitch project in progress. The background fabric is orange and there is a small house in the center with purple flowers and green vines and stems. At top center a half-circle shape indicates the beginning of a crescent moon.

Twilight Moon by Tiny Modernist, work in progress, using Cosmo and Gentle Art floss. It's been hard to photograph due to the overwhelming INTENSE ORANGE fabric I chose πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚ #crossstitch

Cross-stitch work in progress: June Bug by Nora Corbett. I'm nearly finished, just need to finish beading along the bottom. I love this Fluttering Fashion series combining the designer's usual fashion illustration aesthetic with ... insects!

I just realized the real reason the inauguration was moved inside: the new administration didn't want Bernie wearing mittens 🧀to go viral and upstage them.

Apologies to anyone I’ve ever weirded out trying to get close enough to figure out the stitch pattern in your hat, or who dyed the yarn you’re using.

This is very interesting in Sunday Times. Those who have lost a parent in their life are more likely to support assisted dying than those who haven’t. It’s intensely personal isn’t it - personal experience can shape views both ways.

A therapy client helped me understand this today: They (the right) are afraid of us (trans people) not because we are personally terrifying, but because we threaten their world order.

In their worldview, identity and role are socially determined. This isn't just about gender. (1/9)

I knitted these during lockdown Zoom meetings. One colour was when men were speaking, the other was when women were speaking. Guess which was which. πŸ€”
