Oh, I think it might be grossly applied to patient care, for sure. But they’ve developed new antibiotics using AI. And they’ve fed vast EKG data into a specialized AI which the identified people who were vulnerable to heart attacks— much better than the cardiologists.

AI is unconscionable in the Arts, and may do real cultural damage. But it’s being used in life-saving ways in medicine and science. And I just don’t see how we avoid the one without missing out on the other.
