I need a break from the Doncaster slog, but the tactic is performing relative miracles. Can it work with a better team? Fiorentina? Veron-Rui Costa-Batistuta seems too good to be true...

It's a new week irl and a new season in my save. The 4th season, in fact. We spent two seasons in Div 2, and this is now our 2nd season in Div 1. The clear goal this season is promotion, because we're still having trouble attracting quality Danish talent. Squad looks rather thin.

Okay, so it's not exactly going great in the Championship. Turns out the other teams are better than the ones in Div 2. Who would have guessed? Also, the expected influx of amazing Danish players is nowhere to be seen. Starting to panic, I am trying small changes to our tactics now.

Happy birthday to Martijn Reuser who is 50 years old today. Somehow, in every save he'd always be available for cheap and interested in coming to your club. Great bargain winger player in #CM9798.

Wasn't feeling the Antwerp save, so I'll bow out as Champions. Lets go to Portugal, and try to save Belenenses (finished bottom in the 97/98 season). Signings allowed, but only Portuguese speakers (so allows Brazilian getout clause). 🇧🇫🇧🇷

Job done! Double winner, quite comfortably in the LOI in the end + the FAI Cup! Were miles clear with 10 to go, slacked off towards the end, annoyingly 1pt short of last year's pts total. Highlight: a heroic draw v Newcastle in Europe, although no chance in the 2nd leg.

Was trying to think of a special save to kick it off on bsky, and noticed that Kettering Town is available in my Salernitana save (year 2004), having been early promoted to England Div 3 - why not!

And this brings me up to date. Here are how things stand early in Jan. Can't argue with 5th place 😀. 2nd highest goals scored but conceded a very high 35 goals after 21 games.
