Happy April nature network! You raised over $6,000 for the mainland moose in 2024-2025. Your donations give us leverage against grants & other more restrictive revenue, maximizing our impact for nature, so this is a big win. Thank you for all your support!

Today's the last day to join our 2024-2025 matching donation campaign! Our anonymous donor wants to see followers become new donors. For every new donation over 2024-2025, they are giving a proportional match up to $100,000. Imagine what we could do for nature with that support!

Today is International Transgender Day of Visibility. We're in a queer ecology boom, and the research is fascinating. It's also under attack.
If you do nothing else today to take action for trans rights, we hope you'll add some of these to your reading list.

Happy #funfactfriday! Did you know that the corvids have anisodactyl feet (3 forward toes, one back) with the inner toes closer together than the other toes? This makes raven, crow, and bluejay tracks pretty easy to identify. In ravens and crows, the toes are usually pretty chubby too.

We're creeping closer to our 1,000 donors for nature goal! Thank you to the folks who gave for the first time earlier this month (and those who gave again!) At this rate, if our network keeps growing, we could surpass our goal by 2026!

@cpaws-snap.bsky.social recently put out a report card on our national move towards 30% protected areas by 2030. NS scored a B+ for its work designating protected areas under our own 20% goal. Thank you @nsgov.bsky.social for getting this far and keep up the good work.
