Provincial Archives of New Brunswick Provincial Archives of New Brunswick - Archives provinciales Nouveau Brunswick

It may help to look through the name index on the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick site. The vital records can usually be found for 1899, but the search by name can be tricky.

For instance, there are at least 27 variations of Thibodeau. (yes, really) #genealogy

"Every genealogist has at least one moment when something finally *clicks*. It could be breaking down a brick wall, discovering a long sought-after record, or seeing an ancestor in a new light. This is a good week to write about this discovery."

What a great opening salvo. Well done.

Always read the entire newspaper--not just the obit you happen to find first. Your eyes (or full-text search) may miss things. #genealogy

When you walk into the WVGS Library, you’re stepping into a space built for slowing down, digging into records, and traveling through centuries without leaving your chair.

If you could β€œtime travel” to any decade in your family’s past, which would you choose and why?
