Genuinely the YouTube short narrating this post is probably the single biggest perspective shift I’ve had in a while.

This year has been a nightmare for me, heart wise. A lot of choices were made for me without my say, and mostly by people following the raw feeling. And it sucks. But I’ve learned.

The key is choosing to stay with your partner(s) through the bad times to get to the next set of good times. Or it’s choosing that it isn’t worth your time or effort to get through those bad times. If you only ever follow the feelings though, you’ll never commit snd never be satisfied long term.

I recently stumbled on a post on tumblr thst made me think. It was about love snd relationships. And I’ll save you the long spiel to explain the end point. Love isnt a feeling. It’s a choice.

At first this seems counterintuitive but it makes sense. No relationship will feel great at all times.
