Fossil fuels have kicked the Global Plastics Treaty down the road. The next session must drown out their schemes by heeding activist and Indigenous voices
What was meant to be the end of an era for plastic pollution was stymied last week by an influx of fossil fuel lobbyists, just as we saw at COP29.
For Global Witness, I reflected on how oil's plastic plan B is already harming us and why we need to centre Indigenous and defender voices at INC-5.2.
