I see a lot of D&D and similar game memes complain about high level characters. I've run games a few times.

They got it backwards. Lvl20s aren't harder to challenge.

They're durable enough to stop with those silly premade threats.

Break out PC sheet tarasques with player class, spells and gear.

Reminder, every day in history someone has been saying the world would end soon, and every single time they've been wrong. Not because the situation wasn't dire or horrible.

They were wrong because people didn't stop. they were wrong because the world decided to keep going.

To reduce doomness, limit news intake. News only highlights a handful of events, often poorly, over and over. 1 hour will catch you up fine. Watch 1 hour twice a week. If some interests you do background reading about it, not on YouTube, reading. If its not worth reading to you, its not worth panic.

You probably can’t personally stop the war in Iran today. Is there something you can do for your neighbors hiding from ice? For a trans person in Kansas? Any local aid orgs or rapid response networks? Phone banks? Anyone already doing good shit that just needs a hand?

Purely a distraction tactic. Also an outdated tactic as once upon a time all a pres had to do to jump his ratings by 5 points was bomb something. Doesn't work as well nowadays.

The funniest crap is that 'may change' bit, as average attitude for AI has been trending SHARPLY down faster and faster. So not sure what 'change' they're waiting for.

This all began with a concerned mutual reaching out to me, stating that they saw a notification that pointed at me using the Meta AI app and asking if my stance on generative AI had changed. That’s when I learnt that Meta has been quietly using random people’s accounts to promote their app. The catch is… these people never actually downloaded the app. Including myself. I just wanted to make this post to warn people. If you see a notification like that - know that it’s a lie, I never downloaded any AI app and never will. I’m an artist who values hard work and human effort, and generative AI repulses me to an unimaginable degree.

If you follow me on Instagram and you receive a notification about me joining or downloading Meta AI well, IT'S A FUCKING LIE. Meta is blatantly lying to us in order to make us download that fucking sludge-generator. I would never touch GenAI with a 10 foot pole.
