5) Last One-shot scenario is looting a trapped crypt in the Valley of the Unfortunate Undead. There are multiple entrances and branches inside. Doing final touches before I playtest later this year.

4) A One-shot scenario which takes place in an alchemist’s tower near Lake Onda where they accidentally opened a portal to a demonic realm, releasing zombies and a demon and trapping them on the roof. Playtested 2 times and was a blast as well, but tweaking the difficulty level.

3) A starter adventure where PCs are militiamen from Sudglan searching Sarkash for a kidnapped princess. They fall down pit traps into a den of murderous ratfolk and have to find / fight their way out. I’ve playtested this 4 times now and it’s been a blast!

This leads to a Sarkash hexcrawl.

2) Alternate rules for creating new “Militiamen” PCs who have 1 of 20 random quarks instead of classes and some tweaks to starting equipment. This will be released with 10 premade PCs.
Alternate rules for xp and leveling up using an “archetype” system inspired by Shadowdark.

1) Thank you for your interest! Lol. I’m slow on making art before I’m ready to publish, but I’m happy to share info on my projects:
A cursed sorcerer who can cast spells without scrolls, but at a cost.
A rat-man class with rat-inspired abilities.
Rules and abilities for slowly turning to a goblin.

Yeah! I’ve never been to a CON, but it sounds so fun!

I also have the core book but have not ran it yet. I recommend Haunted City from the Glass Cannon Network if you want a solid actual play of the game.

Calling myself out a bit on these “near future” projects, but I aim to have these all released by the end of the year. I mostly need to buckle down and work on art.

Furthermore, even if you don’t run the other game, there’s still value as a GM to pick up a new book and peruse the setting and rules. Make a PC that you’ll never use just for fun. Grab a rule or story hook and tweak it as homebrew for the game you’re currently running. Give Solo-play a chance too!

Awesome!! I also started with 5e and then CoC. Since then, I have played, run, or at least perused the rules of over a dozen new games. My appreciation of the hobby has grown dramatically and I firmly believe it has made me a better GM as well. Cheers!

Today’s #RPG thought: Play as many different #TTRPGs as you can! There’s (probably) not a perfect game system out there. Many have at least one mechanic that sticks with you.
One that comes to mind, “pushing the roll” from #CallOfCthulhu 7e. Most things can be re-attempted, but failure is harsh!

I haven’t played it yet, but I do have the book (plus backed the limited edition Deep Cuts!) and I’ve made a PC. I love the setting and system and look forward to playing someday!

Depends on the situation.
If the weaker one is a PC and they have a chance to kill a BBEG for instance, they earned it.
If a PC may die, is the enemy smart enough to a) recognize they’re down but not dead yet, b) decide this is the most tactical decision, and c) do so without risk then yeah

Finished my first playthrough of the Dead Space remake last night. It was amazing to experience the setting and story again. So good!!

Very disappointed that #EA pulled the plug on a Dead Space 2 remake, which would be a 10/10 game.

#RPG tip: Consider using a “play-by-post” format to handle story transitions/downtime between sessions. Very handy when scheduling is difficult (we all know that’s the real BBEG). You may be surprised at how meaningful dialogue can be when you have time to think!

I love the concept of The Uncanny Valley because it implies that at some point in our evolution it was beneficial to identify when someone / something wasn’t *quite* human.
