It took a few days of playing but both halves of my brain are starting to cooperate with the demo for #infalsus and it's funky controls.
I'm really enjoying the presentation and game play so far! Mouse controls feel quite good too!
It felt good to clear Hyalouyne after so many attempts 🎉

Quite literally the only shiny Pokémon I've found organically during my playtime.

Legends Z-A has been quite fun! I really like how gameplay is more real-time in this one.
Running around rooftops and back-alleys feels fun to explore with the play area feeling a lot denser than I expected.
I think I'm near the end of the story, then onto post game and dlc!

Work is keeping me busy, but there's still time for new games thankfully.

I thought about making a thread for all the games I play in 2026, but we'll see if I commit to the idea.

For now, I got Pokémon 🎉
The last Pokémon game I played was Arceus when it came out 👀

It's astonishing how some jobs strongly discourage taking breaks or even lunches despite it being quite illegal to do that, especially if the staff is small.

The culture at this job I'm at emphasizes that taking a break sets the team back, and if you want your time, you better skip that meal.

It'll be sooo nice having money again, there's so many games that came out that I want to play, and little household projects I'd like to get started on.

It's less hours than what I'm looking for, but some income is better than nothing.
Hopefully 2026 will be my recovery year.

It's been a grind since early July, homie.
There's a couple of promising jobs i'm being considered for thankfully~

I'm getting some interview fatigue with some of the jobs around my new town.
It's flattering to have so many interviews but I'd rather start getting job offers than waiting 2 - 3 weeks, some cases a full month just to hear that I need to do yet another interview,or that they hired another candidate.

I've been also keeping an eye on Ananta, especially lately since I heard they're getting rid of the gacha system mid-development.
This looks promising as well, hopefully it being F2P doesn't bring any trade-offs for the worst.

I forgot that this gameplay trailer came out oops.
I'm not aware of many rhythm games besides Osu and Spin Rhythm that use mouse and keyboard controls. The layout reminds me a lot of sound voltex and chunithm.
Very excited to play when it comes out.

I discovered that there's a number of phones in different countries that are "old school" flip phone smartphones with modern app integrations for things like music and videos.
I'd love to have one, but it sounds like these types of older phones have issues with updates and overseas phone reception 🫠

It reminds me a lot about immersive sims and cRPGS (the latter of which I've historically had a hard time clicking with) that offer you a lot of freedom of expression with how you play and how you represent the character you're making.
That's the sauce for me to get invested in a game nowadays.

I've been sinking a lot of time into modded Minecraft this year, specifically All The Mods 10. I've come to appreciate the multitude of choice you have when it comes to all the basic features like resource gathering or how you move your character around.

When you launch the game after an extended hiatus, you get told how many days it's been and a cold, judging remark on you not being active enough to appease your balance board gods. It was also incredibly nosy about the well being of the other users on this device, asking if they were heavier or skinnier than before and told me to "suggest" that they change their fitness habits. Homie mind your own business, I'm selling you soon, behave yourself.

I've been testing some consoles I'm planning on selling, too! So when it came time to dust off the WiiU and its accessories, It'd be fun to check on how much time has pas-

Hello! Its been a bit.
I've finished moving and getting some life stuff in order, so hopefully I'll be back to finding things to post about or posting game photos again soon. 🎉

Korean fried chicken, rice, and deep fried bao buns as a nice send-off meal before driving back home, because, apparently, I hate weight loss and need to balance out the activity I spent rhythmically smacking buttons.

It was a very lovely treat of a time!
Sadly, I'm in the process of relocating to a new town farther away from here, but I'd like to maybe come back before I'm set to fully leave in July.
It'd be a fun idea to live closer to an arcade in the future, once finances and opportunities present themselves

There were a couple of other games I wanted to try, but didn't get around to this trip.
- WACCA had a similar issue as Dancerush, the outer ring did not feel great to play bare-handed.
- I also wanted to try Pump It Up, but I was really tired :(
- I also lost where the beatmania cab was :(

Mario Kart!
A weird one, but minus how overly sensitive the steering wheel is while in menus, it's pretty good. Translates very well in an arcade setting with multiple people.
Randomized karts and power ups is a very weird choice but I guess that's how you get folks to rematch.

Dancerush Stardom!
The servers were either offline or undergoing maintenance, so no profile was made sadly.
This was, also, one of those games that felt like you *really* need specific gear to fully enjoy. It was a low-key dream to play this, but I'd need to invest in different footwear.

Chunithm!
This Round 1 must've recently swapped their international cabinets with one thats JP only (I cant read Japanese aaa) but I honestly loved this game the most out of the rhythm games I played this trip.
I can see myself getting super lost in the sauce if I had this at home.

Sound Voltex!
Part of the trip was to get a new e-amusement card to link with my konasute (home pc) progress.
It looks like my card now gets denied when I try to renew my subscription for konasute. I heard folks had success using a credit card instead, so I may try that.

Last weekend, I celebrated my 31st year of being alive. So I treated myself to visiting the only Round 1 arcade a-round *1* me.
