near where i stopped on nioh 2 a couple years back. i remember the next main mission but not sure if i did anything after that. i think i stopped playing because of fgo fes lmao

i also dumped a bunch of levels into ki max, ki recovery, and the ki passives in demon realms now the game feels a good bit smoother

the fists are speaking to me in nioh 2 i might get it

botan being less comedy and much more yuri probably works out fine

the studio that did the mono anime adaptation doing kamiina botan gives me a lot of hope. both series with basically no plot and mono was a very fun anime

would be curious if there's some skill in one of the trees that changes this or maybe different stance dodges have different properties besides the obvious ones. closest thing i can find is the guard boosts on odachi

don't know if demon dance procs on flux but that could be a very cool way to play tonfa since those follow ups are great

makes me wanna experiment with weapons again and see if any have some particularly strong flux stuff going on. kusarigama was already pretty cool controlling distance between med and high

flux feels so much more important in nioh 2 after just spamming it, like borderline required with how slow the ki management feels

finally a support that turns everyone into an elation character

at that point we're hitting 4.4 and this arc is probably over and we're onto the ipc stuff

mangaka girl could be anything too we've just gotten a couple words on her

pearl too idk where she's supposed to fit. since she had 3 masks and presumably gave 1 to ashveil and 1 to silverwolf then used the last for herself it's not like there's another hidden character waiting to be added soon

i know trusting leaker vague posts from months ago is a bad idea but they've constantly said there will be 2 elation teams and it's not really sounding like blade is part of either of them

if both ashveil and blade somehow dodge elation mechanics it's gonna be so awkward for me when endgame starts dropping more of those 50% res to everything not elation damage

it's weird because hsr takes a different approach where most notes are useless aside from the one that foreshadows the entire next year of story. not sure which i prefer but i think we could all use a story told in the cutscenes instead

endmin and gang act like they don't know the crucial info you read in notes though, so it feels kinda fair. i'm sure if the points are important enough they get directly addressed but it definitely creates a strange disconnect

i think the mechanics kinda carried nioh 3 for me i was doing absolutely everything every fight switching ninja using all my ninjutsu doing back attacks switching samurai using my martial arts combos and deflecting, ofc nioh 2 doesn't have all the same

really thought i finally beat the nioh distaste

ngl nioh 2 kinda feels like shit after nioh 3 but i'll see if i get used to it

i've been playing these games by leveling whatever gives me the biggest atk bonus per level and nothing else, i don't think build minmaxing really exists
