06.11.2023 22:47 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Have been saying for a number of years that banks will be the primary Bitcoin exchanges.
They want to make Bitcoin an investable asset, while destroying its use case as peer to peer bearer instrument.
Take self custody and refuse at all costs.
The 'everything go up' phenomenon is a byproduct of the fractional reserve system which results in the financialisation of everything.
Bitcoin fixes the scam.
😂
03.11.2023 23:32 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I don't doubt that is the case, but I see the electrification of Africa using hydro and the reduction of landfill methane emissions as a net positive.
Human evolution is tied to the harnessing of energy.
Over 50% of mining is now powered by renewables, and stranded energy makes up much of the rest
Gridless Compute are using Bitcoin mining to build out micro hydro deployments in Africa.
The Kingdom of Bhutan is using hydro.
El Salvador is building geothermal plants.
UAE is mining using nuclear.
Paraguay is using solar.
Mining is also reducing methane emissions from shale and landfill.
I hope you've read The Bitcoin Standard?

19.10.2023 01:45 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0your argument revolves around a... DRUG CARTEL manipulating the price.
It's so preposterous it's laughable.
Yep, it's certainly volatile (historically to the upside), but that does not negate the properties I mentioned above.
I hold as little cash on hand as possible, as it's a melting ice cube. As a silent partner in an unrelated business, I keep everything else is in equities, real estate, and Bitcoin.
Buy Bitcoin.
18.10.2023 22:51 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Disagree, it's the safest asset I own.
I can take custody and hold it myself, verify it in seconds and know the issuance schedule for the next 120 years.
No one can print more, no one can double spend, no one can block a transaction, and no one can seize it.
Once you understand Bitcoin you realise that playing fiat games in a financialised world, for a 10% return, is tantamount to gambling.

It's been going down for 6 years.
It will continue losing purchasing power to Bitcoin.
Stop gambling and start saving in BTC.
Ignore the crypto scams. Bitcoin is still there, being the hardest form of money ever created.

Bitcoin provides a mechanism to save your precious time and energy into the future.
Now, it's also providing a flexible base load, which can be deployed at landfill / fracking sites to reduce methane venting, and to capitalise a renewable grid.
And people still call it a scam 🤦♂️
- A neutral, interoperable and fair monetary system.
- Someone advocating for social reform, who often does not share my perspective.
When you try to virtual signal by criticising a free and open, neutral monetary system. 🤦♂️
Bitcoin is not crypto.
You can't truly delete notes on BlueSky.
This is going to look pretty ridiculous in a decade or so.
Ignore the 'other examples', they are affinity scams.
Bitcoin's utility is to be money that cannot be debased, and it's doing a great job at that.
How is your inflation and gilt market going? I sure hope your wage growth is keeping up with the falling GBP.
You don't understand inelastic issuance and maximum supply.
It's going up forever.
That is because security and decentralisation are prioritised at the base layer.
These are desirable properties for a global financial system.
But who is going to use the energy supply when there is no demand?
It's either Bitcoin miners or something completely unusable like dummy load.
