Tonka only licensed the toys, so Hasbro own the names and backstories, Bandai own the toys, so neither can make money of alleged adults like me who grew up in the 80's. 2/2

In an 'interesting to me, and pretty much only me' note. GoBots were made by Tonka (who were later bought out by Hasbro, owners of the Transformers toys) but haven't had a nostalgia fuelled re-release because the actual toys and their likenesses were the property of Bandai. 1/2
