Since deleting Meta I have saved so much money. I’m not worried about what others are wearing and doing, not keeping up with the beauty trends, not subject to countless ads about what I need to fix, etc etc. It’s lovely. Focusing on you and blocking out the noise is a financial power move.

While we work to help individuals improve their financial situations, we have to boldly acknowledge the economic and societal barriers they may be experiencing, from racism to ableism to sexism to many others.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. pushed for economic equality. He believed it was possible for wealth gaps across race, gender, and other intersections to close. He called for change within systems that create and maintain economic inequity - systems that, unfortunately, remain today.

Incoming pres says his inauguration speech will include the word “fairness” a lot. This word is often used to tell people with more economic barriers than the privileged to work harder and stop asking for handouts. “I did it, you can too.” I’m sure he’ll be very fair to the billionaires.

I had no idea canceling Amazon would be so good for my mental health💆🏻‍♀️. Random things don’t feel like a need anymore. I can look into stuff later instead of immediately getting out my phone to order or add to cart. SAME with Meta. Turns out deleting apps built by assholes also fights consumerism. 🤔
