People are right to complain about Democrats standing by and doing nothing, but Trump didn't successfully "wear down" a viable opposition party - he's a de facto mob boss who took advantage of decades-long institutional corruption that many Democrats happily participated in and/or worsened

Oliver did not consent to being used as a bot. His parents did - and you may find that ethical - but journalistic ethics give Oliver the right not to participate in a story.

Agreed except about not noticing. The amount of research I had to do daily *before* Trump because anything that sounded good (or neutral!) was often a scam made being an American exhausting. It’s a big part of why woo “medicine” and conspiracy theories take off here

folks don't know that AIs scraping websites accounts for like half of all internet bandwidth usage right now. Sites get scraped- ie, all the contents downloaded- over and over again, destroying/wasting their bandwidth, often maxing it out. It's like being continually DDOS'd
