Mending my grandmother's knitting. Mom told us to toss it, but my brother wants to keep wearing these. He had worn a good sized hole above the heel, but the sole is still good after at least 20 years. Mummi has been gone almost two decades. 😢💔

I mostly spin commercial tops, but I would like a little thinner preparation. Some braids feel really wide and I struggled with them back when I was a beginner. Pencil roving is not my favorite though.

Haha. Thank you! I make yarn by hand from dyed wool with my wooden sticks that cross. Next I'll put these together and add twist for a yarn with one pink ply and two purple plies. 💜💕💜

A top whorl spindle and purple bluefaced Leicester silk blend spinning fiber.

It's a lighter spindle with a less thick whorl. I wish I had more of these Skinny Midi spindles. 🧶

Wooden top whorl spindle with about 24 grams of purple wool spun and wound on with more purple wool and another spindle underneath.

I decided that this much was enough for one spindle. The lace weight single won't hold much more I think and it's a slippery fiber. I picked my next spindle and spun a little. It seems weightless after the first one. #spindlesky #handspinning #spindlespinning #värttinä #kehräys #handspun 🧶
