Santa Cruz Wharf collapse: Workers rescued, damage due to large swell Construction workers were rescued after a portion of the Santa Cruz Wharf collapsed Monday afternoon, officials said.

What a surreal story I was on today. Big waves knocked off about a 150-to-300 foot section of the Santa Cruz wharf sending people, buildings and debris into the water. Everyone rescued.

Whew! Holiday lights up! Nice to put the ladders away. Funny thing I just saw a theater showing of ‘Christmas Vacation.’ I thought of how Clark smothers his house with lights. I showed restraint. But I get it. Lights are cool.
