I’m reposting this thread because I don’t want to keep reiterating the fact that we have had a scoring problem going into this season. You can’t have forwards that don’t score goals and expect to score a bunch of goals.

He looked good when we first got him and then dropped off so drastically that I’m not sure I agree. Maybe?

Said before the season started that I’m very concerned about how we score goals. That first half was everything I was worried about.

The second thing I’ve been saying is that our number one priority next summer needs to be a new keeper. Vicario is just not the one.

Worthy of the hype. It’s a good movie. It’s not a PERFECT movie like some have said, but it’s very good.

I haven't spent much time on social media this weekend. Felt that was a hard fought point that we probably wouldn't have gotten last season. Given that the odds for Brighton to win were unbelievably high, I'm very happy with a point.

That goal got into our heads far too easily. We have looked completely disjointed since.

Villareal will almost certainly play very deep and counter, so I don’t see the need for Palhina, that being said I think Frank will be very mindful of the fact this is his first ever CL match and might be fine with a draw and we potentially see a pretty conservative XI.

Thought we had good control of that half all in all. A lot of crosses, would prefer to see a bit more on the ground. Think we need Richarlison to hold his back up to goal.

Xavi on the left and Tel as striker? I’m honestly perplexed.

When we got Palhina I had said he specifically should only be used against front foot attacking sides. Obviously Frank knows more than I do, but he definitely got that last one wrong. Hopefully he’s learned from that mistake. West Ham have two players I rate and I have possibly going down.

Didn’t see that. I’m interested to see how we line up no matter what. This is the type of game we should be easily winning, but will we make it hard on ourselves by allowing inexperienced players too much time? Or will we go with a lineup that isn’t ideal but with PL experience?

My guess is that Palhina starts over Xavi today.

I don't think we NEED Palhina for this game and when we brought him in this is exactly the type of game I didn't want him playing in, but I think he will anyway.
