But I’m biased as have one on my wall
Is that different to the large flocks of, similar looking, parakeets spread all over London?

Bonkers stuff
Starmer: “Controlling migration is a reasonable goal- but if you throw bricks and smash up private property that is thuggery…if you incite violence that’s criminal…if you graffiti on a Chinese takeaway telling them to go home, that’s not pride that’s racism.”

That ballot paper with a ridiculous number of candidates would otherwise be unmanageable. Shame it’s come to this as I’m mildly uncomfortable with having to vote for the organisation’s preferred candidates

23.09.2025 19:23 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0Why are the American president's claims about autism the first item on British news bulletins?
He's not our president, the advice doesn't apply here and he's not presented any evidence to support his assertions.
So why spread these claims? What make this the biggest story in the UK?
Sadly, I have less faith in the great British public. Labour making such a hash of things they’re not giving people who feel that they and the country are not doing great any reason not to give chancer like Farage a try. Which would be a disaster but non-negligible chance of happening

19.09.2025 05:08 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0We're not racist, we just happily went to the racism march, organised by Britain's top racist, and if prodded will very quickly say racist things informed by our extremely racist world view. But you gotta believe me, we're not racist.
16.09.2025 07:36 — 👍 134 🔁 30 💬 6 📌 1This, from The Londoner yesterday, also features people on the march who claim not to be racists. Though the things they say prove otherwise
16.09.2025 06:05 — 👍 1072 🔁 347 💬 108 📌 159I'm sick and tired of the whole, we have to "understand" them "we have to appeal to them". No, we need to confront and challenge them. This isn't about class or economic circumstances now. It's about racists controlling the narrative and everyone else pretending they aren't what they are, racists 3/
15.09.2025 19:03 — 👍 344 🔁 78 💬 6 📌 4Are majority of population racist, of course not. Most actually support immigration and providing asylum, or just don't care, but we have reached a stage where racists are treated as the norm and told "there there it's okay to be racist". We need to call them out and stop apologising for them. 4/
15.09.2025 19:06 — 👍 170 🔁 30 💬 1 📌 0The whole team – from the cleaners to the consultants – are dominated by migrants and the children of migrants. Many people out there know this of the NHS, but until you see it for yourself, it remains a kind of abstract statement.
If the UK started 'sending 'em home', the NHS would literally stop.
I don't think Peter Mandelson is PM's biggest problem. The biggest problem is not standing up to the literal violent racism on our streets, supercharged by the richest man in the world, and threatening the very fabric of our society. If he and so many commentators can't see this, we're truly lost.

We're on same page. Impossible to tell candidates apart from their spiels and presumably some are potentially disruptive and dangerous
09.09.2025 20:27 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I voted for recommended resolutions and candidates. Do feel a bit conflicted about the NT board choosing their favoured candidates but also get need not to split vote. Looked at quite a few of the MANY candidates & wasn’t easy to spot those whose aim might be to subvert things vs potential new blood
