I feel like my entire life lately is people telling me I'm being paranoid & then me saying "see!" when something similar to my fears happen.

One way to resist? Read more, use the library, buy from local bookstores, post reviews, talk about the books you're reading, read banned books. Anything to do with reading, and books, they seem to hate. Stay educated, and continue reading.

Giving in to the mood reading urges have really made me love reading again. I still have reading goals but I've just tried to reduce my self placed expectations around reading.

A book I always recommend is If You Could See Me Now by Cecelia Ahern. It's light, but does have an underlying message that hit me in the heart in a good way. Semi-romantic subplot. It's such a comfort read for me, & helps to remind me to protect my inner child.

I stopped requesting them for the same reason. It felt like I was making reading more of a burden than a passion, and it became overwhelming.
