You can pull people out, but there is a threshold. I work with kids, and kids don't know better. They only understand the world presented to them and often those narratives are tightly controlled. A young man can be shown that they're wrong, but that chance dies daily and it can't be the priority.

If I ask it for 10 peer reviewed sources on a hyper specific subject it will spit out all 10 with a brief description and links. It will have hallucinated 2 of them, 3 will only be tangentially related, and 5 of them will be solid sources. One will usually even be hard to find.

I have found exactly two good uses for ChatGPT.

1. It's fairly good at throwing together a stat block for a monster of character TTRPGs. It does a bad job, but if it's last minute so would I so it saves time.

Patton Oswald has a bit about this kind of thing. He talks about taking a gig that was basically "don't do anything, just acknowledge high rollers" and how if he moved to just that it would be a crazy pay day and no matter how that temptation will always be there now that he knows about it.

That's why most show runners manage it for like 3-10 years and then go quiet. One day it will be over and you'll make a living on a lecture circuit helping new creators find their voice and slipping around behind the scenes. You'll sleep and make art you'll show no one and wonder how you did it all.

I can see a world where you make something like GEMS for fan voted movies that is a bit shorter. Maybe an escape to the movies but for older stuff your audience askes for?
