Agreed, it’s entirely dependent on the pipeline. Jira is far and away my favorite. I’ve worked under some nightmare processes and proprietary tooling. The former ALWAYS impacts the latter.

Yeah and honestly, whatever works for folks, more power to them. I just think there’s other ways to arrive at the sound parallel compression can give you without the potential of phasing or session/track count bloat.

It’s such an additive process that my thought is usually “just turn it up”

Ok hold up it’s DEFINITELY the bluesky compression. My data was pulling the audio stream and it sounded like wind through a vocoder at first lol

Amazing how digital it sounds. I’m sure the bluesky compression doesn’t help, but such a unique sound nonetheless!

Looks so good as expected. One of the few single player IPs that’s a day 1 buy for me :)

Isolating the delta signal to extract cool textures = awesome

Slapping resonance suppression on a mix instead of being thoughtful with your EQ = not awesome

Seeing lots of new “resonance suppression plug-ins” and I worry that they’ll sterilize music mixing in the long-term.

Why do we need thousands of spectral bands *assuming* resonances are bad? We should be using our ears to determine which resonances are offensive and which aren’t.

Nothing sums up the audio experience quite like the “Best Sound” Oscar winners getting rushed off the stage before they could even speak 😣

Your team should be up there accepting the “Best Sound” award, but nonetheless I’ll also be rooting for the other categories!
