It's about damn time. I used to enjoy being simultaneously horrified and amused by this feed on the other platform.

Context for Sec. Hegseth's statement "we give glory to God" after Trump's unilateral and illegal act of war. Nothing subtle here.

My statement on Trump's bombing of Iran:

Exhibit A for why the Big, Ugly Bill is about imposing an extreme rightwing social agenda, not deficit reduction. They're trying to light a few billion dollars on fire and screw the Postal Service because they hate EVs and want to punish environmentalists.

I am praying for Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, who were also victims of this violence. I’m closely monitoring the situation and keeping them and all their loved ones in my thoughts.

Whatever our differences, no one deserves this. Violence has no place in our communities. (2/2)

Speaker Johnson does a lot preying and praying. In any event, as the great Robert Ingersoll once said, "hands that help are better far than lips that pray."

The USA is a secular republic with a constitution that carefully avoids mentions of God or Jesus, prohibits religious tests & bans public establishment of religion. Johnson should stop curating fake "Christian nation" myths. He's actually encroaching on religious freedom when he does that.

2. Principles or ethics of any kind from MAGA Republicans would be a welcome change - Christian or otherwise! There is no greater Trump sycophant than Mike Johnson, who pays lip service to principles and ethics while fawning over the most lawless, corrupt, unethical POTUS in history.

1. Adding the token "Judeo" here is a neat trick MAGA Republicans do to camouflage their Christian nationalism. Hegseth forgot that with his explicitly Christian "invitation" to the Pentagon workforce, so Johnson cleaned it up for him.
