Kicking myself for taking so long on this current novel project had quite the undesired effect. I slowed down. After finally telling myself the book will take as long as it takes to get it right. Two years. Three years. That was like opening the floodgates. The words started flowing again.

Some of my creator friends might need to hear this. Stop beating yourself up for not "creating" fast enough. The best art and fiction isn't made using AI or mass produced on an assembly line. It takes thought, tweaking, rewriting, tons of editing and that's okay. It's worth the time and effort.

She is very sweet. Not murdery at all, but just seemed to have HUGE claws when she was a kitten.
