People are waiting too long to see their GP.
Finally the government announced they'll take on the Lib Dem plan for same-day urgent appointments. But there's still a long way to go.

IMMIGRATION AND ASYLUM
Constituents in Devon were horrified to read Reform UK Devon County Councillor for Newton Abbot South's views. "Here's hoping we might see the same ICE correction techniques for woke interfering lefties."
He's been referred to Devon County Council monitoring officer.
"I think that sort of barbarity is not something that is true to British values, and so we will oppose that."

SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND DISABILITIES - (SEND)
Parents across #ExmouthandExeterEast with youngsters with SEND have had challenges about making sure their youngsters get the right provision. They don't want monies being syphened off to offshore funds.
Families of children with SEND are exhausted. The fights, the delays, the underfunding, the private profiteering.
The crisis is real, and it must end.
Constituents have been complimentary about their Liberal Democrats county, city, district and town councillors.
They have noted that their councils have become award winning since the Liberal Democrats have led them.
Lib Dem-led Devon County Council balanced budget approved unanimously. -More investment in our roads -More funding for children and SEND -More investment in our libraries
Despite huge funding pressures caused by national govt, Lib Dem-led #Devon County Council has managed to deliver a balanced budget that increases funding for services residents value the most.
Our budget has been approved by Devon CC unanimously, with 52 votes for, 2 abstentions, 0 against.
π Funding for our libraries from Devon County Council will also increase. Our consultation makes clear libraries foster valuable community and learning spaces. We want to ensure this is on as sustainable footing as possible.
27.02.2026 19:46 β π 0 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0There's still a long way to go to fix council services. Council finances were left in the gutter by the previous Tory administration and are being starved by the national Labour government. Despite this, Lib Dems are leading the way and we're now back on the right track.

FAMILIES, CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE
Parents in #ExmouthandExeterEast have informed us that they feel the government should be doing more to protect their children on line.
The Liberal Democrats have a sensible solution and that is having age related guidelines.
It is hugely disappointing to see Labour and the Conservatives play politics rather than vote to protect children from harmful social media.
Liberal Democrats will not give up the fight to hold social media giants to account.
SEND
Parents of SEND children are constantly fighting for the right support, all while private equity firms cash in & siphon taxpayersβ money offshore.
We'll cap profits at 8% & treat SEND as critical national infrastructure.

FOOD AND FARMING
The outstanding Liberal Democrats MP for Honiton and Sidmouth, Richard Foord fully supports our British farmers and food producers.

Reform's Trump-style plans for an ICE-like immigration force in the UK will bring only chaos and disorder, not the control our immigration system truly needs.

The Gorton and Denton by-election shows people are bitterly disappointed with Labour but horrified by the rise of Reform.
In many parts of the country, it's the Liberal Democrats who can stop Reform.
Parliamentarians must be able to scrutinise the Royals if needed, as we have been with Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
It must be made clear to victims that nobody in this country is above the law.
