The other members of the tribe feared the Stone Masks, which required vast amount of life energy, and they feared the masks' creator. They tried to kill him, but he instead slaughtered them all, save for two infants and a single ally, whom he took with him on a long journey. Kars was that genuis, Esidisi was his ally, and Wamuu and Santveinto were the babies. Two thousand years ago, they destroyed the Hamon tribe and attempted to take the Red Stone of Aja, which has the power to transform them into Ultimate Beings immune to the sunlight. They sleep for 2,000-year cycles.
